Prince's Garden
Discover one of Aranjuez's most spectacular historic gardens. Spanning approximately 150 hectares, the Prince's Garden combines nature, fountains, ponds, architecture, and historical sites such as the Ferdinand VI Landing, the Chinese Pond, and the Farmer's House.
The Prince's Garden is one of Aranjuez's great historical and natural attractions. Located northeast of the Royal Palace and next to the Tagus River, it is the largest of Aranjuez's historic gardens, covering approximately 150 hectares. It is notable for its extraordinary botanical richness, its walkways, fountains, ponds, and historic buildings.
Its creation is linked to Charles IV, when he was still Prince of Asturias. The garden was developed from existing spaces, including the Huerta de la Primavera (Spring Orchard) and the Fernando VI landing stage, which were incorporated into the new landscape.

The Prince's Garden combines nature, architecture, and historical heritage. Its impressive neoclassical entrances were designed by Juan de Villanueva, one of the great Spanish architects of the era.

🏡 Casa del Labrador
One of the main attractions of the Prince's Garden is the Casa del Labrador, an elegant neoclassical palace built at the behest of Charles IV.
Although initially conceived as a simple country house, in 1798 Charles IV decided to transform it into a luxurious palace. The construction was entrusted to Juan de Villanueva, with the participation of Isidro Velázquez.
The Casa del Labrador is particularly noteworthy for the richness of its interiors and its decoration, making it one of the most interesting architectural gems of the Royal Site of Aranjuez.
The National Heritage agency completed a major restoration, and the Casa del Labrador reopened to the public in October 2025.

Patrimonio Nacional currently reports a partial reopening, including the area between the Puerta de Villanueva and Calle Isabel II, and also notes the reopening of the Estanque de los Chinescos.
